Rear Reflectors

I am abit confused on this one.
SVA manual states the distance between reflectors should be a min of 600mm and each reflector should be 400mm from the vehicles side.
My Locost is 1530mm wide (mudguard to mudguard - std book chassis) so is my math correct here:
1530mm -
400-
400-
Leaves me with 730mm.

730mm - 600mm leaves me with 130mm my reflectors are 90mm wide so (90 x 2 = 180) so they dont fit in the remaining 130mm. Am I missing something here?

Help guys

They have to be less than 400mm from the outside same as your lights.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

ok, thanks pete, and this distance from the outside is from the bulb light center? what about distance between the reflectors?

Oh wait a min, max distance.... meaning they can be less than 400mm from each side... silly me a case of RTFQ

just don't forget tht with all the dimensions the outside edge is the widest part of the car... therefore when working out your front indictaor stalks for instance you need to measure out to the width of the rear arches....

oh crap, the front ones too! I forgot about them, so the distance to the outside of the vehicle is from the bulb edge or the center?
