Insurance does take the p*ss, mine is extortianately high due to boy racers that have accidents every week and think it makes them cool, I was 19 with 2 years no claims, could afford an rx-7 that was in good nick and went to look at insurance, cheapest I could find was over 4k, needless to say I didn't get the rx-7. Now I'm 20, 3 years no claims and still have to pay £400 for a 1.1 106!
Have a look at some of the other companies that have been mentioned recently, loads of people seem to find places cheaper than flux.
