Try Bollington ins, they gave me good prices over the last couple of years.

Are you allowed to trade cars from a residential property?

Don't forget to add courtesy car cover so punters can test drive your cars legally

"Are you allowed to trade cars from a residential property?"

Yes, indeed a sizeable proportion of car traders do not have a sales forecourt or commercial premises.

No one would get away with filling their drive with cars covered in '6 months warranty!', 'Low Cost Finance here' and 'One careful owner' windscreen stickers but most will store at least some of the cars they are selling at home all ready for when a punter responds to their adverts in Autotrader etc. Make sure the house is a tidy and as well looked after as the cars, that any oil or diesel stains are cleaned up and invest in some decent biscuits. Job done.
