4th item on the page in the link!
I have a ciggy lighter converter for my camera, you could butcher one of those to wire in to get your 5v mine has a max of 1.5A so should be fine for your app.
Go to Maplin/rswww/rapidonline and buy a 5v voltage regulator... its a three leg device.... one leg goes to 12V, the otherto gnd... and the last one,
you guessed it, is 5v!
Should be around 50p...

tegwin's component is not the only component required for the task if you want it done properly - you need some filter caps and some decent protection for your expensive camera. The automotive electrical environment is very unpleasant! While I'd build one myself, it's cheaper and easier for most people to buy a ready made package that will do the job without risk or faff. That said, it's nothing more than a couple of quids worth of components in a box, so don't pay ££££ for it.

i've built a maplin module that does it - nice evenings entertainment.
