Coming home on Wednesday night and a couple of miles from the house, there is a bang and the cliuthc pedal drops to the floor. Eventually manged to
drive it home without using the clutch.
Today I replaced the cable and went to test the car and bang, the new cable goes as I put my foot on the clutch pedal, even before i started the
car.
I do not want to throw good money after bad, so any ideas for me to check before I get yet another cable? as I do not wan the same thing to happen yet
again.
cheers
Craig
Have you confirmed the new cable has definitely snapped? Did you remember to re-fit the washer and split pin on the "hook" end of the new
cable when fitting it?
The clutch gets quite a lot heavier as they wear - a clutch near the end of it's life will be very hard on the cable.

thanks Mike,
Feeling very stupid, forgot to refit the split pin, cable had not snapped afterall...all back together and taking it for a quick test run shortly.
