Have any cars been available as both RWD and FWD. What about mk3 escort????
Just curious really its not a loaded question
I believe the Triumph Dolomite was available at different times in FWD and RWD
Mk3 Escort was FWD but I have seen a few RWD conversions for rallying etc.
Edit: I think the RWD version of the Triumph may have been called the Toledo but the shell was the same to look at.

Toyota Corolla
MG ZT was available as a rear drive V8, granted it was only limited numbers tho.
Triumph 1500/1500TC
Or if just using the 'name' of a car rather than same 'model'
FIAT 500
VW Beetle
Vauxhall Cavalier, the Mk1 was rwd and the mk2 fwd. Although I seem to remember the Haynes manual mentions very early Mk2's were RWD

My Alfa Sud became RWD in the snow once
Not a car as such, but the Transit was available in either FWD or RWD versions; don't know if that's still the case?

The tranny is still available in front or rear drive depending on spec and engine

How did the presentation go yesterday Liam?
Ford escort was also available as 4 X 4. Any other cars have all three?
Renault Clio Mk3 onwards can be front or rear.
Ford Transit is available in FWD, RWD and 4WD.

Not quite the same ball park but the 2CV was available in a form that could be either FWD,RWD or AWD in the form of the twin engined Sahara as either power unit could be used independantly.

As above - Mk5 Escort was FWD or 4x4, as was Cavalier, also Sierra, BMW 3/5 series, some Mercs, pov-spec Impreza for RWD and 4x4...a lot more than you
might think (especially when you get into the VAG stable).
Only FWD and RWD ones I know of are the Triumph 1300/1500/Toledo/1500TC etc and the Rover 75/MG ZT that were sold in the UK.
Do a google for a Peugeot 1600RD....but its not all it seems....

Renault 5 had variations fwd and the turbo gordini's were rwd
a bit up market, but the 6r4 rally metro's?
The Gordinis were all FWD, its the 5 Turbo and Turbo 2 which were mid engine RWD
I had a Gordini turbo back in the day, nippy but no match for the
rest of the hot hatch brigade. Gordinis
