I think its clear why the simple seat belt became a very good upgrade!!!

Those guy's either didn't realise the implications or simply didn't care. Brave souls......

Sorry watched most of the first minute and didn't want to watch any more....

I remember a few years ago, when Stirling Moss was interviewed, and was asked about safety etc in the pre seatbelt racing era. He said the fact that you could be killed was what made it so exciting, and that drivers prefered not to have seatebelts on "as more often that not you were thrownclear of the car" and risk of fire, or the car rolling on you.

They certainly were a different breed.

OMG absolutely horrendous.
Bit grim up to the one bursting into flames when he hit the sidewall, didn't want to watch any more.
