Won a set of wheels and tyres on ebay last night.
Paypal link enabled on advert so paid straight away.
As these were a bargain,and in the excitement of the moment, I forgot they had stated cash on collection in the actual advert.
Message to seller asking what occuring.
Reply is, not got paypal states cash on collection. OK my fault and cash is easier.
BUT also tells me he wont sell them at this price anyway because they are worth much more !
Can he do that?
Afraid he probably can but you can report him and neg him for it.
Don't you have to have a paypal account on ebay ?
Not a lot you can do apart from get your money back, report him to Ebay and watch for when he relists them. Then win them, collect and pay him cash for the original amount, if you're big enough....
Get his address and tell him you'll be round with cash to collect them!

Wife had bad experience at dentist today and really p****d off, going to send her after them I reckon
Same thing happened to me. Won the auction for set of wheels & tyres and seller refused to sell them at that price. Told him he was out of order and he offered to sell them me at higher price. Told him to stick them. Loads of idiots out there put it down to experience.
I recently sold 3 wheels and tyres in seperate auctions. They sold for £5.65 each!! I was gutted as they cost me a small fortune, but I let them go at
that. The winner picked them up the following day, think he was worried I'd not sell them. When he arrived he said he only really wanted the
tyres and was going to weigh the wheels in for scrap!!
Oh well at least they're not cluttering my garage up

Just make sure you leave negative feedback.
It is a small thing, but it adds up. Don't worry about whether he leaves you negatives, if you are honest then you will never have a problem.

people dont relise how much stuff is realy worth, they are deluded (sp) and d1cks
from the wording when purchasing, your entering a binding contract. Definitely complain to ebay, its just not on.

You dont really have a leg to stand on. He can just say they were stolen, broken, dog eat them, put them up his ****. Any countless number of reasons. If he dont want to sell, he not going to sell
Bought a Jeep on ebay and the seller said I had to pay VAT on top as it was an asset sale from his business. Tosser stuck to his guns, despite ebay
agreeing with me. Asked him to issue me with a VAT invoice to contradict the ebay one (that all sale prices are VAT inclusive) and he refused.
Agreed to pay him half the VAT (he was just pissed off it sold for less than half what he'd paid for it 3 months previous) before he'd tell
me where the car was...
I got the car, he got neggy feedback...
Have been on the flip side; set of throttle bodies on a CVH manifold, trumpets and airbox. Sold for £62...some you win, some you lose...just think of
the 99p bargains you have won in the past (zetec flywheel and nearly new clutch - 99p + £15 postage; cost him £19 to send it...) and they soon even
out.
