Why on earth would you not refurb or replace the rockers though? Lets it down with the manky old rocker covers.

Not to the person that has just restored it for himself...
Some people like to put their time, effort and money into something that means somethig to them or their family/friends.
What I'm trying to say is, that it's not always best practice to put someone down as you just did.

Just my humble opinion of course.

I'm not disputing the time, effort, patience, frustation and skill that has gone into the build - I know what it's about, I built my car too. There is a smiley at the end of the comment, so the comment is meant to be taken lightly - I'd have thought that it was fairly obvious!

In reality, considering the thoroughness of the resto (and the mad prices of old Fords anyway), I'd have thought it'd be worth quite considerably more than I lightheartedly suggested.

Nice, especially if this was one of then childhood dream cars. A bit like me and a Mk3 fiest or Escort.

The man has a collection of Fords as well inc focus RS (I guess Mk1)

Peps on passion fold would like to see that post if they have not already.
