Hoist hook?

What does the team think to this proposal?
I need to pull the engine out of the Locost to fix a leak and change the clutch. Because of major re-works to the house and garage, I've lost my original lifting beam so I need to construct something else.
The extension has a 'car port' integral with the house which is supported on the 2 open sides by 12 foot long 8 inch deep steels with extended bottom flanges sitting on brick piers
I can't do the obvious thing and hang a hook centre span in the steel across the front opening because the roller shutter door mechanism is in the way, so I propose to add a 3rd steel I have lying around (9 feet 5 inches long by 5inch by 4 inch I section) diagonally across the integral steels, roughly centre span. This would give me a lifting point just to one side of the front opening and far enough in to avoid the door roll . It looks like it would be easily man enough even for a Pinto, but I'm getting more cautious in my old age, so I'd welcome views.

If it is an RSJ type beam you are proposing to use, i would think it would do the job.

Providing the steel can't roll or move, it should be more than up ti the job.
