After abandoning todays efforts in the garage due to it being fricking freezing I've decided to get a space heater.

I'm looking at this one on the bay. Its for a double sized garage. I have a gas heater but i dont want to use it for the condensation issue.

What are people thoughts in this:

Waay to small to be useful, depending on size of your garage and how well insulated it is. 2kW is just enough to keep a well insulated 25m^2 garage at a decent temperature but not to heat it up.

Plus points

1. Quiet
   
2. Dry air
   
3. No need to refuel
   

1. Pretty expensive if you have it on for a long time
   
2. Too small in my opinion - smallest propane / kerosene space heaters are about 15kw
   

There is the 3kw heater for a few more ££, which may be a better option. Electricity cost is not an issue.

The garage is reasonably insulated. I went round plugging all the holes with insulation a few weeks back.

I have a 4.2kw gas heater that heats it to a temp i like but I don't want to use it for the condensation issue.

I use those halogen heaters that oscillate, they are economical to use and can be kept near to you.

Thinking the same out there today

I used to have a big diesel one .. Filler her up with red and id never be cold ...

Only downside was when it used to get low on fuel it would cut out and try and restart spitting a large flame out the front
