i have got one works well stuck to a brake disc
Was thinking lenght of angline and two bolts at correct distance to put on the wheel rim.
Usual way with road cars was just to put a camber gauge against the tyre slightly offset from centre to avoid the bulge. on older cars with narrow
wheels this also avoided the hub.
Yes this creates an error but as long as the tyres are pumped up to 40 psi it is less than -1/8 degree and the error will be consistent between
measurements.
The most significant error to allow for is any slope on the floor used as a set pad.
Have one, they are o.k, actually accurate to 0.1 degrees, tested against a rotating tool table, but mine is little sticky sometimes, (tap like you do
on an old barometer all is then o.k.). I plan making a bar with two bolts allow measurements on the rim.. Really quite good for the cash, but
don't expect it to work as well as an expensive one!
Cheers
