I've got a Snap- On 12v one and to be honest it's not man enough to crack off
wheel nuts which is what I bought it for. It's great for bolts that are rusty tight.
Once the wheel nut (etc) is cracked it's fine.
If you want a hi power jobbie go 18v or 24v.
Macallister as sold by B&Q I have had one for going on 5 years it has been very good, now one of the batteries is iffy, my fault due to
not recharging after use. It is not quite torquey enough for wheel nuts.
Clarke do a powerful 240v one at a very good price.
i bought one of these http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0038YER7M
a bit big and heavy but has plenty of power
Not in stock now. But at bottom the page there is the Clarke 240v one at £ 50.
This one linky seems to be getting good reviews
