I got an email offer for a years sub (12 issues) of the 'Racecar Engineering' mag at £40.
Does anyone out here in Locostland read it... is it worth the dosh!?
I find that it does not cover anything practical, so I stopped getting it.
i had that for a year and gave up reading after the first three issues
it was just to indepth about tyre compounds etc with far too many big words
had good pictures
Thanks for the input guys.

Lol... so much for my special 'autosport' deal!
I've got about 4 issues that I'm wading through and some of it is very in depth but other aspects are very useful if you are looking fo something more specific. I gave up buying EVO so I'd rather spend the money on something that has a bit of substance rather than Chris Harris comparing every car he drives to a Porsche 911.
Its a good mag but as others have said it is a technical mag giving nice views on designs of F1, LM prototypes etc.
It has good sections on datanalysis techniques etc.
It's kind of the opposite of a locostbuilders magazine
(nearest to that is PPC)

It's a great mag, and comes in phases of interest depending on what I want to do technically. Every now and again, you get an article that really
makes you think wow, or shows you a smart way of doing something - pictures of chassis are always enlightening to see if you're doing it
right.
the articles are often in-depth and we get a view from across the pond as well.
Practical classics, it isn't.
