Tintop Non genuine headlights

I am looking at option on either polishing my hassed headlights or replacing them with new non genuine ones.

To get them repaired will be about 60 euros or new ones for 100 euros.

Both mine have cosmetic damage from the previous owner.

What do you think? Will the non genuine ones be as good as the genuine or waste of time and money?

in my experience, if you want an item to fit buy genuine OR o.e. spec

all the aftermarket stuff i have bought for my defender project is either poor quality or just doesn't fit and have had to return the items and order the better quality ones, yes it costs more but the parts fit

I believe they are supposed to be OE as i want to replace like for like

I am not thinking of going to different style

I've replaced headlamp units in a few different cars, Ford and Vauxhall, with Valeo replacements from the local spares shop and they are fine. I wouldn't hesitate to use them in my car.

That's cause Valeo supply most of the manufacturers (including Ford!)

Valeo bought over a lot of Lucas interest when when Lucas left the automotive sector.

A Valeo head lamp should be fine.
