roadrunner - 20/2/12 at 03:06 PM

"GREAT LITTLE HEADTURNER"
As they all turn round to throw up.

AndyW - 20/2/12 at 03:08 PM

I love the quote " I chased a chaterham 7 over the hardknot pass"

scootz - 20/2/12 at 03:22 PM

Thanks for the heads Craig, but my attentions have rather peculiarly turned to MK3 MR2's just now (blame Phelpsa!).

They weigh a shade under the 1000kg mark... I wonder what you could get one down to if you junked the dash, seats, hood, spare wheel and replaced the windscreen with a plastic aeroscreen?

Sure 900kg is a realistic possibility! Swap out the 1ZZ-FED engine for a 2ZZ-GE lump and you're in Elise baiting territory!

Good grief... will I EVER finish a project!!!

HowardB - 20/2/12 at 03:45 PM

but that trike has a TOW BAR,.... what would you tow? A roller skate, or perhaps a shopping trolley,...

Ninehigh - 20/2/12 at 04:21 PM

It's certainly interesting!

snakebelly - 20/2/12 at 05:03 PM

The Lexus V6 is a common engine to fit in the MR2. I think there was something on it in PPC a month or to back (readers cars).

The guy I bought my Comps from had one to. That would shift. . . .

Do you build normal things though Scootz? Having never met you I still get the impression you like to challange the impossible!!

Biz

big_wasa - 20/2/12 at 06:44 PM

Does that mean the kv6 project is dead then ?

That's my biggest problem... I have the worlds lowest boredom threshold! I like to sit and think of daft things to do, go for it and then once I've worked it out (and realised it's beyond my skill-set or finances), then it's onto the next hare-brained scheme!!!
