
ok clever people,i have a co vehicle,a 10 plate connect,it has sat for 2 weeks while i have been on deaths door with man flu (industrial strength).
the battery is now flat,may be due to the tracker?.
anyhow,if i remove the battery and charge it over the weekend will the ECU loose it,s memory,i have the radio code so no worries there.
Our Transits go flat if someone has a week off, we all blame the trackers.
We've never had an ECU problem, but why don't you just charge over 6 hours?
Erm yes and no.
I have ford ecu's sat on the shelf for years at a time but they will spring back into life once powered up. The ecu will adapt to things like the
fuel you use, the oxygen in the air and other stuff. This it will loose but it will re adapt with in a few miles.
You shouldnt have any problems with the immobilizer, I gues thats what your asking.
thats the answers i was looking for peeps,the van is parked on the road 100 yards from my place so i cant run a cable out and charge it there hence
the need to remove that battery
