Just saw the ad. on telly.
The tag line "up to 360 miles range"
isn't that the same as saying less than 360mile range
which really doesn't say anything.
Clever bit of marketing though, putting the 360mile idea into your head. They don't leave it up there long mind.
I can theoretically get 950 miles from a tank of diesel in my Espace, but in reality do 500, so I guess the Ampera will do about 180.

I've got 800miles out of my A6, but that is long trips, lightly loaded and in no hurry.
Electric vehicles are inevitably in our future, just interesting how the marketing boys spin it.
The fiat twin-air is a classic marketing win (nice name, nice story, interesting engine, crap mpg).
Matt you forgot to say it's only crsp real world mpg, it hooks the tests wonderfully to give them legit marketing figures of excellent mpg!
For long range trips, the MPG is quite awful really - 360 miles out of a 31 litre tank isn't that great.
However, I guess that's missing the point of the car. Drive it for 20-50 miles a day and you'll be laughing.
Definitely wouldn't mind giving one a go, but a bit out of my price range at the moment, and my Passat is costing me £0.07 per mile, including
purchase, fuel and servicing.
How?
I'm with that. I'd have a car like that if it was affordable as most of the time it would be using electric power.
£32k is a bit much though, at the price you'd never actually make a saving.
Had the brochure in work, only 100 mile top speed.
It's an Insignia chassis isn't it?
Probably, however do remember that you can plug it in, so if you have a round trip of about 35 miles to work and back you won't use any fuel
Still £35k is somewhat steep, although if you factor the fuel cost into the purchase price...
Best to have a petrol generator and battery charger in the boot (like what TG did

That's pretty much what it is
one of my mates has one as he works for VX.
took it out and gave it a pasting, managed 87 mpg according to the dash (now this is worked out using the electric bit too and im not sure what that
calculation is)
anyway, if you can get 87mpg kicking its head in, what can you get driving it nice
