M14 x 25 socket cap bolts
ChrisW - 14/5/12 at 02:42 PM

Does anyone have any ideas on where I can get these? I bought four on eBay, but 10 days later they've not arrived.

Screwfix/Toolstation/etc don't go up that big. I only need four, don't want to buy a whole box.

Any suggestions?

Chris

Ooh err
I never had any problems with them at all

If you're in London, give these guys a go.

ETA they've sold me single bolts before and I haven't yet defeated them on selection.

I used the same chaps to get a multiple selection of small bolts, Ordered on the 31/12/11, chased on 7/1/12, was told they would sent 1st class on the 2nd, on the 9th was told:
Hi John ill call anne and ask her to chase the sorting office to see where it may be. If nothing in the morning please get back to me and ill personally sort it for you, kind regards Lee
No idea who John is, as im David!
rechased on the 11th got this message,
Hi there I'm very sorry about the royal mail delivery issue, I have looked online and still saying out for delivery.
I will personally sort this for you as promised, Please confirm your "FULL POSTAL ADDRESS" and ill sort the issue for you asap, i will also start a claim with royal mail for lost goods please sign the forms they will post. kind regards Lee

On the next day I received 1 pack of 1 thing i'd ordered, not the multiple packs of several things I had ordered, fortunately on the same day the original, correct ordered also arrived! I didnt chase any further and didnt leave any feedback.

I'm actually in central London tomorrow so I might give them a shot.

Just had a rude email from 'boltmeup' because I escalated to a claim on eBay. Interesting to hear someone else has struggled with them too.

Juding by the volume they sell, its just down to bad luck, there are bound to be the odd error when dealing with so many small items every day. However, it doesnt excuse a rude resposnce, or in my case, a badly organised system for when things do need to be corrected. It was only luck that I did get the right stuff eventually. Maybe I should have taken it further so they realised that the replacement stuff they sent was incorrect.

I rang that Clerkenwell Screws place after another mate recommended it via Facebook. They have them in stock and, by chance, I'll be in central London tomorrow.

I'll just change the eBay order to a request for a refund, especially after their latest email.

Let's hope Clerrkenwell Screws are as good as they seem over the phone!

boltmeup, messed up my order.... sent stainless instead of hi tensile....

never got the replacements, and the postage to send the stuff back wasnt gonna be refunded, so i kept the worng items.....

think they are just over stressed with the amount of orders they get

Can highly recommend Clerkenwell Screws after today's visit. What a great little shop. Que was 4 deep when I arrived, and six deep when I left so they're obviously popular!

On the flip side, 'boltmeup' say that the tracking number will show as invalid until the item is delivered. Erm, what's the point of a TRACKING number if you can't TRACK the parcel during delivery? They are also ignoring my requests for a refund. I'd strongly suggest you avoid this seller!!
