Off to Le Mans next month and i would like some breakdown cover while i am on the other side of the channel.
my UK cover wont cover my car as it is 22 years old
so has anyone got any recomendations?
i did try 2gether,they quoted £17 but it seems to have risen to £62 when i tried to buy on line today
Have you tried your insurance company? (if different from 2gether), I recently bought European breakdown cover for my car until the end of Aug for £22 through elephant, which includes tow home, hire car, emergency accommodation and onward travel.

I tried this last year, when i was driving my m8's xk8 (chris wilkie tours) and as you say car was well over 10 yrs old
i couldnt find anyone who would quote us, so we just went, and came back!

Its lemans your going to not the rust 2 rome tour .......did it make it to stoney and are you going to rag the t**s of it .....
if it hasn't broken down yet its not likely to break down if you take it easy. We run junkers across continents.
You just leave it behind and get another wrecker ....
one of my mates left behind rally cars was involved in a robbery as a get away car .......

they were stupid to use it as it was shagged as he
ragged it 4k.
Wouldn't worry too much Johnski.
I've tried getting breakdown insurance before, but being 1992 and modified the quotes are silly.
Besides, enough of us are mechanically minded and between us we have enough tools to botch most stuff to get the car home. Worst case we'd just
have to park it up and come back with my Audi and a trailer to collect it. £50 trailer hire, £100 ferry ticket, plus diesel depending on how far away
it is. It's not a big enough risk vs the cost of the insurance in my opinion.
