I have a few dents to fill-in in the Z3 bonnet, but I'm concerned about the filler eventually failing due to continual engine heat exposure.
Is there anything on the market that will do the trick?
Lead lol, I wouldnt have thought that it would be a problem, the paint doesn't blister so wouldn't think filler would lift it not in direct contact with the heat source
I doubt very much that it would get hot enough to worry the filler.... Paintwork heats up in the sun anyway (strange concept for a Scotsman I know!) -
you can easily hit well over 100C on a sunny day, and I would be amazed if you see much more than that soaking through from under the bonnet....
The better question Scootz - what the hell are you doing with a Z3, and why is body filler the solution!?
Good quality filler mixed correctly will be fine
What about a paintless dent repair instead ?
(aslong as the area/s aren't double skinned)
