Is it acceptable under ebay rules for a seller to list a car with a Buy It Now price and also have a totally seperate listing of the same vehicle for bidding with no Reserve? I have come across a Triumph Spitfire being sold by a trader like this.

from a sellers point of view if he starts it at a quid and adds a buy it now, the buy it now option vanishes after the first bid unless he puts a reserve on.

Either way ebay wins with the cost options or seperate listings.

Ive got a car classified advert on there, with 12 watchers ! work that one out.

'duplicate listings' is shown as a listing policy violation - not sure what it means but you could try reporting the cars to see if anything happens.

Think its bit of a common thing, set as a classified with a fixed price then set a auction with a low start and as a seller watch what does best, if classified doesn't sell gives option to take a sale from am auction.
Can't see anything wrong with it if you want to buy it pay the classified price or take your luck at the auction, if not walk away and wait for another one to come along.

How weird is that. I spotted the very same thing with the very same car this morning. White 1500 Triumph Spitfire, 1977?

Yup, thats the one. Found it as the seller has bid on something I am selling and I was checking his credentials!!!!
