Trying to sell my car and first time it has moved since I brought it home from MOT...... where the garage did the track rod ends (and tracking)....
The potential buy pointed out that it now pulls to the left.
Also the bloody abs light is on.
so look like the garage has buggered the abs sensor, and screwed up the tracking....... I watch by potential buyer walk off - NO SALE.
MOT was nearly 30 days ago.... do I have a come back on the garage as car has only done 10 miles since MOT!
Not a happy bunny.
Not sure about any recourse on the garage, however if it is a local place which you use regularly then I would hope they would have a look at it.
Tracking shouldn't really cause the steering to pull, might be worth having a quick check that no brake are binding.
Cheers

Have you driven it and does it actually pull to the left? If it does, I'd take it back to the garage and mention it to them. If it's
a half decent garage, I'm sure they'd check it over FOC and correct it if need be. Bit more tricky with the ABS sensor though because you
don't actually know if the garage has damaged it or not. It could have failed at any time during the last month......

They might have just caught the wire on something and pulled it out of the connector (re: ABS sensor)
I'm trialing local garages next week as 2 of my cars need an MOT and I don't know who to trust!

try driving the car in a flat car park as road camber makes most cars pull to the side, tracking is a doddle to set anyway and only needs a spanner
and molegrips to set, kwikfit is hopeless at getting steering wheels even straight, I've had to sort a few of their balls ups
ditto the sensor wire being pulled, check the connectors from the hub sensor in the front arches

YEah I can probaly fix most of the items in a hour or so, it just makes me mad that garages egt away with crap like this...
Still don't understand why it need a track rod end when the week before the garage had done the wheel bearing (same side) and the track rod end
was good enough to re-fit......
Just makes my blood boil. But I guess not worth the hassle of falling out with the twats as the will do ZIP! or Blame "the weather" or
"Geece (the country)" or some other random crap.

because the numtys buggerd up the rubber seal on the track rod end, and probably the thread, so put a new track rod end on,
