For the first time ever Nissan are taking part in the le mans 24 hour and have had a car designed and built to race
but so wild that if it works it’s going to change the face of le mans forever.
They have called it the Nissan Delta Wing !

BBC's Top Gear have commissioned Andy to build them a road going version to drive to the race,
it isn’t to be an exact replica but very very near to it.
An exact replica wouldn’t be possible by anyone in the world in 6 weeks with nothing to go on...

Based on a Westfield!

hmm, wonder if this is the first Nissan factory team? and previous cars were Nissan engined, but not entered by Nissan?
the same way that mclaren are merc engined, but aren't a mercerdes team?

Nope the R390's and R90's were factory teams, the Delta wing actually existed long before Nissan came on board, its a moncoque from an older Aston LMP1

Nissan have been involved as a factory effort and engine supplier on and off for many years.

Lets hope Andy Saunders has got some money from Wilman and Clarkson at Top Gear.

My personal bitter experience is that they dont pay their bills
