Oil for seals?

Rubber safe oil?

Not strictly car related but I want to add some lubrication to the seals on the brake lever of the mountain bike. There hydrolic and appear to be sticking a bit, it might need more attention, but im hoping if a spray them out with brake cleaner where the piston goes into the housing and add some light oil they might stick/drag less. But dont want to ruin the seals.

Can you use the same hydraulic oil that the bike uses?

I did think of using some brake fluid (they just use standard dot4) but wondering if there was anything more suitable. Maybe im over thinking it.
