City Rover --- gonnay no gonnay no
britishtrident - 27/7/12 at 02:52 PM

This week a mate was offered an immaculate very low mileage City Rover at a very very low price and ask me to do some research, it turns out the parts situation in th UK for these is non-existant............ really nothing is available much beyond brake pads and other service parts. Even OEM style brake hoses cannot be found.

I am really quite surprised as XPart promised to continue parts support

Did they ever sell enough of them to warrant continued parts supply ?

Actually quite a few around but you don't see many on the the road cos the type of buyers were oldies that do only 500 miles a year .... I jest not I know of 2 with less than 3,000 miles on the clock.

It's mostly a Tata Indica but with body and trim changes to Roverise it. It might be worth seeing if eBay can get you tata parts posted from India.

i had to skim the discs on the one i used to look after plus the fuel rail rotted from the inside out wrecking the injectors ,utter guff and cant be cheap enough , injectors were £600 for 4 so i literally hammered a set from a 1.4 k series in to keep it going

Note also perfect hand print it has propbably been pushed more miles than it has been driven.
Mental note not to push a City Rover by the tail gate.

Presumably, 'revised suspension' or not you should be able to get any parts you need from Tata? Dont know what there UK parts base is like but you can probably get them shipped over for a reasonable price. Having been to Pune a few weeks ago, theres certainly enough of them out in india, along side the zuc swifts and motorbikes.
