Radio controlled buggy

This is what you call a radio controlled buggy. Puts my original Roughrider to shame!!

Once you've done 1:1 scale, nothing else really comes close

Nothing available as a "boxed" item - but you just use a honking great big 500w+ motor with something like a roboteq controller and a feedback pot

I do like that a lot.
- I can see the servo might be the first bit problem tho.

Even with my 8th scale you looking at about £40 for a high torque metal gear servo for the steering and a £20 one for the brakes/throttle to get the power/transit times you need.

The larger servos for the 5th scales are really very expensive.

Why though? just build a car you can drive - where's the fun in standing beside the road or whatever clutching a box with some joysticks on it if you're over the age of 17? Surely a good steering wheel/pedal/game combination on a PC/xbox 360/PS3 is going to be more involving anyway..........

I dont know, im 22 and while having got the kit the rc's have seen far less attention i still use them as i did when i had only the peogoet.

One of the key things is, having just 0-60 in 3 seconds, jumped 6ft, and barrel-rolled it 6times into a fence. You turn it over and go again. Without the 6months in plaster-cast!
