Fiat Stilo JTD problem

Anyone have any suggestions as to what could be causing a "loose connections" warning light to come on on a Fiat Stilo JTD , engine cuts out as if the ignition was switched off and will not start again. Starter will crank the engine over but it will not fire , have been cleaning terminals but as yet haven't found the cause.

Is that the engine management warning light to which you refer?

Dodgy ignition switch?
