OT Audi radios

I'm about to fit a hands free kit in an audi belonging to a friend, it's a 2004 A4 with the symphony radio.

Anyone know if its a coded radio? ie if I disconnect it will I need to enter a code to get it working again?

Thanks in advance

Mark

Although it shouldn't cause you problem just fitting a handsfree kit on VW group cars the the radio is also connected to the cars CAN bus system and interfaces with othr ECUs in the car if an aftermarket radio is fitted problems can occur if the car is subsequently connected to an fault code scanner.
