No

Take the ecu out it will have a name. just buy another with the chip.

For a ford dealer to plug it in and re code the ecu to new keys will cost loads.

easiest way is to remove a door lock if its open and strip it,the tumblers will have notches or numbers on relating to key cuts (1 being no cut and 4 being cut deepest)then get a key cut and programmed.if its a petrol van then just program to ecu if its diesel then ecu and r.i.m module (on the pump). No good just buying an ecu if its diesel as mentioned the pump has a remote immobilizer module (rim)that needs to be programmed as well.

im in my own little world...its ok though they know me there

If its a diesal remove the rim module behind this is the fuel stop soloniod if its got a single wire put 12 ignition live to it if it has more than one wire buy a single wire soloniod and fit that then all you have to do is put a newwire from ignition swich(starter side) down to the starter motor
jub done

hmm my reply did asume petrol as I now nothing about diesel's.

I do know a bit about the Pats on the petrol eec-v and you wont bypass it.

early models you would need the red master key to pair another. Latter models would need two keys to pair a new one.

Temporarily lost the key for the mondeo, so I took the spare (proper spare from dealer too) and all it did was unlock the doors! I felt like a right pillock sat on my drive with the alarm going off and engine running
