Newark autojumble

Just seen this advertised in classic car weekly, on the 9th January. I've not been for about 5 years, is it any good? I seem to remember it being huge when I went but about 80-90% bike stuff, is that the case these days or is it good for car bits?

Its expensive to get in and pretty crap to be honest. Save your money and stay in bed!

The traders buy the good stuff before it opens and then it goes on ebay.

About 3 years since I went, I used to love them.
Unfortuanatly as with most such things apart from some good old soldiers they are mainly the tat that you can't even sell sell on ebay. AS said £5-6 to get in+ £5 for your burger and £3 for chips.

I think I might go

Have they really gone down hill that much, its about 4 years since I went? and thought I might do a couple this year, but reading this..

Are there still the massive traffic queues to get in?

I went a couple of times last year and it is a huge jumble. I would say the people who have 'parts' stalls are mostly for bikes. You can pick up cheap tools or odds and ends. I bought A good air drill and a Record Vice last time. It does cost to get in, something like 6-10 quid.

Nothing however is worth the look of boredom on my girlfriends face when I took her.

Its been a few since I went, but one stupid thing I seem to remember was that it was cheaper for me and my dad to go as traders than if we went as visitors. Not sure if they have changed the prices now, but something to think about.
Also I remember it was half bike parts, half trade stands selling cheap crap tools from China and the other 10% actually good 'auto jumble'

Bumping as there's another this Sunday (11th Dec)

I went to the one that I started this thread about, was okay (got some old manuals) but didn't have much time to look around. Got more time this sunday and I'm after some bits for my 3 wheeler ^_^
