Diesel tuning chips

I'm looking at fitting a tuning chip to my Vito 112 cdi, the price seems to vary quite a lot as do the claims for gains in power, are there any pitfalls, ones to avoid? the prices range from £60 to over £300, is it a case of you get what you pay for, or, are they more or less all the same? any info greatfully received

Cheap ones can cause issues, you get what you pay for.
I would go with a reputable supplier.
The Deisel chips tend to up the boost therefore you need a good fuel map to suit

I fitted a DPT www.dieselpowertuning.co.uk to my transit TDI 75 BHP to boost torque and towing power.
It is a plug in job, boosted output to 93 BHP, not much on paper, but a real transformation in all round performance.
If you have a TDCI it's preferable to have one fitted and mapped to suit your personal requirements

i think a remap is the best option, however i've got a plug in box for around £100 on my e39 530 and it's def added a bit, probably not near there claims, but i think it's given me a bit more power and torque, and a slight improvmeant in mpg
this is the one i have
