Ebay advice
I'm selling some items on ebay (see for sale section ).
I've received quite a few messages from a guy in Italy who is very keen to purchase one of the items. I have got a rough estimate of what it
should cost to post to italy but cant be exact until I've boxed it up etc. I've proposed to him that should he win, he should send me the
full amount minus the postage fee, I will then find out what postage will be and once I have recieved payment for that I will send the item.
Is there any way that this could backfire?

Yeh, he tells ebay he hasnt seen the item and they give him your money back. You have no goods and no cash but that can happen just as easy over
here.
Ive not had to much problems with car parts but I would think twice with anything desirable to a knobhead such as electrical goods and selling small
cc bikes and cars seems to bring them all out aswell.

sending stuff abroad, esp Italy is only tracked up until it leaves our country.
Then its your word against his.
Or as big_wasa says.... its his word. Ebay WILL side with him.
Thats why I no longer send stuff abroad.

We dont block Italy or Latvia for the fun of it in our eBay shop, they are both top of the league when it comes to INR cases, I dont think its so much
the buyers as they genuinly dont get there for what ever reason.
You have been warned.

Using a carrier like UPS or DHL will ensure the goods get there, particularly UPS, where it goes their own system all the way, and has to get a
signature at the other end. Not cheap tough.
Cheers,
Nev.
