New Red V5 for tin top

A new red V5 arrived unexpected today for the tin top, note says they plan to exchange all current V5 documents for new ones by November 2012, due the theft of a load of blank V5's some time ago.

I can remember that news story months ago just surprised it will take so long to exchange the current documents over?

They have probably posted them all and just assume Royal Fail will take up to a year to deliver...

Yep I know about this, I received one yesterday for the Ford Granada that I used as a donor, disposed of the shell to a vehicle dimantlers, told DVLA Northampton about when I registered the kit and handed the old V5 to with the reply ok, "OK thanks we'll deal with this and get the vehicle taken off the system as scrapped".

For the past 3 years I've had to keep sorning the non-existant vehicle. Now I can go and have another philisophical debate with Northampton DVLA. DEEP JOY.
