A classic Hi Ace as a race transporter... talk some sense into me please.

I'm going to look at a 1980 Toyota HiAce over the weekend with a view to converting it into a race transporter for my retro-styled car.

Will people please confirm that I'm being a prat!?

Wheelbase may be too short, if memory serves me right youre allowed (or were) 60% of wheelbase as overhang
