New, nuts Audi Quattro
http://uk.cars.yahoo.com/news/audi-reveals-power-crazy-a1-160000878.html
Looks poper crazy!
Shame they are limiting the run to 333. and that the 4wd only kicks in where needed!, should be RWD with the front only kicking in when needed!

And the little matter of 34k ..........
I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered.

Hadnt seen any prices quoted - but thats small change if your in the market for a car like that. Think i'd rather the BMW1M for another 6k tho..

Looks pretty good - I do like the new A1's.
As mentioned, the "Quattro" system is the same as on the golf and TT's with a Haldex diff and controller rather than a true quattro
system which is full time 4wd.

Normally Audi reserve 'Quattro' for the full-time Torsen diff cars and use 'quattro' for the VW derived Haldex cars (Golf
& Polo platform). This is a limited run A1 which should lead to a S1 & then a RS1 which will be 350-400BHP. The new A1 Quattro is in LHD
only and is close to £48K if you tick the boxes in the order sheet.
This is the 'real' new Quattro and I know of people who have deposits down for it
http://www.audi.co.uk/audi-innovation/concept-cars/quattro-concept.html
And of course there is the Audi R4 coming to replace the TT and have a 5 Pot mid-engined sportscar.

shame they didn't try to make it look very nice though. i mean, i do like audi's, a LOT! but i think thats hideous...
i was expecting something like this
but modernised. disappointed is an understatement tbh
its not quite the same as the concept...

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

The Audi Quattro concept and the A1 Quattro are not the same thing. There is likely to be a Audi Quattro like the concept sometime soon.

Can't stand the A1 myself, looks like a German Fiat 500 In fact most if not all of the Audi range turns me right off these days.
Wouldn't say no to an RS6 though
(I understand why), but very few manufacturers these days have the balls to make really special cars. The last I can think of is Renault with the V6
Clio - OK it had it's faults, but at least it was a poke in the eye to mundane tin tops.

If they're going to do a run of 300, then as far as I'm concerned they might as well not bother. It's like they make cars to be
collected and kept in the box..
Like the "proper" Quattro though
