i bought a ESAB origo tech one a few weeks ago, about £70 from a guy on ebay. was the cheapest place i'd seen it. yes its not one of the very
expensive ones, and the plastic used is a little thin feeling, but it does the job very well

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

I like 3m speedglas masks, not used the newest generation yet though. Currently using a 9002x which I've had for about 10 years. One of the
things I like particularly about the mask is that it' physically a small helmet with a large viewing window which is nice when working in
awkward spaces.
My advice would be to pay as much as you can afford and go for a reputable brand my experience with the cheper versions hasn't been good.
Also worth trying on a few mask before purchase to check for comfort, weight, ease of use with gloves on and how well the friction system for the mask
raise works.

My £22 (new) version from eBay has been brilliant... The only downside is after 3 years of use, I broke the head strap, but they are fairly standard,
and a an old helmet I had sitting around provided a replacement... It was the single biggest improvement in my welding when I bought one!

If you want one for TIG you might need a super dooper sensitive one. but for Mig I got a £30 from the bay four to five years ago and it's still
going strong and I can still see.
Can't complain really....

My son in law is a tig/mig welder - He has a Speedglas for work, and reckons his cheapo Parweld one is just as good.
Likes it as its small, and works well - And on that recomendation Im about to buy one.
Around £40-50 online.

I use an eye tech and a speedglass 9002d in work.
I'd get the S-Glass purely because it sits better on your head. The eye tech allows reflections on light on the back of the glass which means
you can't see the work.
The Speedglass is better in that the top extends further over your head so you can always see where you're starting regardless of whether
there's a fluorescent light directly above you etc.
