Warning - Speed traps - (Blackpool) but could be anywhere?

Just been reminded by Liam McCaffrey's post about unmarked police cars.

Wife was at work last week, watching the antics of 2 Police (yellow jackets - both policewomen) on the road outside - they were stood alongside an UNMARKED astra, and they were there for quite a time. They were using a hand-held laser gun, and were pulling motorists one after another.

So, be warned - it may not be playing the game, but if they are doing it here, there must have been a shift in policy from the ' they have to be clearly visible and marked vehicles ' policy.

Maybe they were just handing out warnings, but keep your eyes open!! (or stick to the speed limit like most of us do)

I thought it was common practice for them to be on foot with no car in sight? Not that i've seen them, i just mean i didnt realise there was meant to be a car visible!
