any VW technicians out there

I have a T5 transporter which I fear will have imminent driveshaft failure as the car clunks into gear when the clutch pedal is let off quickly not so noticeable if let off slowly. I cant figure out what parts I should replace apparently its the drivers side shaft that is prone to losing the teeth. Anyone point me in the right direction. A complete driveshaft seems to be around the £300 mark which isnt really an option at the min

Life is like a bowl of fruit, funny how all the weird looking ones are left alone

slim case maybe rear gearbox mount, does sort of sound like driveshaft. If i remember rightly its the same a vw sharan. inner shaft loses its splines(where shaft joins gearbox its a sliding joint) though water getting in and then rusting. the splines do were on gear box end but have only ever renewed the inner of the shaft.think last one was about£11o.

Don't delay, just had mine let go setting off from traffic lights a bit sharpish, loud bang and complete loss of drive
The drive shaft had stripped its splines at the gearbox end, a new shaft was £130+vat however on further investigation the output shaft of the box was also stripped £180+vat : (

As you probably know T5's are prone to driveshaft failure, but also dual mass flywheels and clutches which are a big ouch.
