I saw on the news that Morrisons are to slash their pump prices, could this be the start of a price war here.

In Greece the cheapest i found in the area is 1.66 euros. About £1.50-55

Nearer £1.40 at current tourist rates the Euro has fallen some way in last 4 months.
Greece is highly dependant on Iranian oil and the plug is about to get pulled on that.

As my first boss used to say to anyone with complaints about the way the company was run or the way they were treated,
"it's not a prison, the gates are never locked, you can leave when ever you like"

The same can be said for lots of things. I have a friend who works for the council, and is always complaining about not being paid enough. If
it's that bad, leave!!

I suspect "slash" might be optimistic. Supermarkets don't make much money on petrol anyway, IIRC it's something like 4p litre
or less.

They're advertising 15p a litre off when you spend £60 or more.
All I need now is the price of Aldon Octane booster being slashed as well.

Its worth using the coupon I put £65 of diesel in my car today and saved £7 so basically got a gallon for free, the pump price was no dearer than any
of the other local petrol stations so a genuine saving.

Alright then, when I fill up at my local Jet garage I get 70 miles more to a tank...
The Morrisons is outside where I work and the Jet is round the corner from my house and I do 20,000 miles a year, I've had the same van for
seven years and have filled up at both stations more times than I care to remember, I still get the same outcome. I now avoid the Morrison's as
much as possible, but still use it occassionally if circumstances force it upon me, same outcome.

Morrisons may be supplied from the Shell refinery indeed even some of the "big" petrol companies will supply from each other's
depots as they may not have one of their own in the area. However each company chooses which additives it wants in its fuel, so big differences are
certainly possible.

Yes but I don't want to leave, I want to improve the place! Not likely I guess
I should point out I'm on about the country, not the Council. They are pretty much a lost cause!
