Hmmmm, must be something yankee-doodle with a front axle like that? Probably less than 5 years old, too, as they have chosen modern hi tech coil springs over the usual leaf springs.

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Too late it's gone but you're always welcome for a brew.

Not a truck and not Yank. There's cart springs at the back

Clue 2...

From the descrition on the phone we were expecting a Metro.

Andy gets it by a nose.

It was booked in as a Rover 100 (which it is) but we thought they meant the last of the Metros.

Took me back to my youth and diving over the bench seat aged 5 to sit up front with my Mum. Suicide rear doors, no seat belt,. semi-rod brakes and half side valve, half overhead valve strieght six.

Wasn't in bad nick. Biggest problem putting the exhaust on was finding Whitworth spanners (or at least remembering where I put them) to undo the old one. 1/4 whit isn't the same as anything else.

Yep, all that.

How did we manage with wing mirrors? The field of view was terrible. I don't remember them being that bad.
