It does read a bit like a dealer & clearly the pics are not outside someone's house, an industrial estate that stores a lot of cars but I dont recognise it. No personal or contact details other than the phone number in small type which is a Carlisle code & no feedback. All does look a bit dodgy but if it's not to far out the way? Call them & see what you can find out?

i started to question a little when i read
quote:
CLUTCH IS SLIGHTLY NOISY WHEN RELEASED BUT IS QUIET WHEN DE-PRESSED. DRIVES 100% AND IS HARDLY NOTICEABLE. DOES NOT NEED TO BE CHANGED NOW OR IN NEAR FUTURE (WILL LAST FOR ANOTHER 10000-20000 MILES WITH EASE)

hmmmmmm . . . . . .

I love Pinto's, even if i did get mine from P&O!

Yeah, the clutch thing means either they know nowt about cars or they think that you do! Why would an engaged clutch be noisy? The noise is likely in the gearbox or mabye a DMF problem? Who knows how long it'll last. Being a 2.0 diesel Volvo will this be the same engine etc as a Mondeo?
It could be that it's genuine & just cheap, but you'd need to be careful & check it all out (car, seller, the whole lot) as much as possible.

Check it for HPI, matching serial numbers and call the previous owner from the log book.

If it all checks out then cash deal and drive away.

It has probably been taken in PX for that price, it is old so they cannot warrantee with clutch issues so expect a £1000 bill to fix as it will have a DMF etc.

Regards Mark
