Mpg
I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered.

Oddly, seems no worse than my jeep! Around 22mpg steady. Admittedly, single figure on full song

I know it's not what you are looking at, but I collected an Audi 2.0t fsi s-line quattro avant up this last weekend, and though its 7 years old,
I am mighty impressed with the build quality . The handling is fantastic for a large ish car, a little harsh on the bumps, but I can live with
that.
I shall be looking and keeping this one for few years.

2.0T appeals more on a number of levels...
Cheaper tax
Cheaper insurance
Better MPG
Lower running costs
Ample performance
......but then your mate isn't selling a 2.0T is he/she.

I've got a 2007 Avant version with the 2.7v6 TDI Quattro SLine and it's a lovely drive.
Smooth powerful pickup, tows the MX5 faultlessly. Can be a bit thirsty - around 35 on a good run, 25 when towing.
Bags of space, lots of toys and very comfy. Munches the miles effortlessly.

The A6 2.7 T has the engine from the B5 S4 in it, in a de-tuned state (195BHP if memory serves compared with 265 in the S4 (320 with a remap)).
There are a number of well know issues with the S4 version (K03 turbo failure caused by boost leaks, F hose splitting, N75 valve, EGT failures, 710
re-circ valve failure and so on). The C5 platform with the 2.7TT engine in it is pretty old now and it would need to be cheap. Because there is two
turbos any failure is expensive and requires engine out to replace them.
If I was buying one I would want it checked with a VAG-com for issues and then pressure tested by someone who knows what they are doing.
