Tin top full service

Just completed a full service on my Passat TDI and what a difference it's made. 57 plate car with 76k miles, purchased from first owner at 62k miles with full VW service history. Car was starting to feel unresponsive and slightly hesitant at higher (3k+ revs).

Cam belt, water pump, tensioners and aux belt
Fresh coolant
Air filter
Oil and filter
Pollen filter
Fuel filter
Brake fluid
4 new Dunlops (the budget Kenda tyres really were sh1te)

The car is transformed, feels much smoother and faster and pulls cleanly to the read line. It's also stopped the annoying belch of smoke on start up too.

Now ready for Le Mans this weekend

Good Job,

But double check you have replaced the oil filler cap ( and clipped it home ! ) as speaking as someone who has not it makes a right mess.

PS What oil have you gone for did you get the timming bely set as a kit as my A6 is due at next service?

All checked and correct.

It's on a long life service (VW 507 spec oil) so supposedly every 18-22k miles. I used Halfords own brand which meets the VW spec, but will probably change every 12k any way.

Cambelt kit was sourced by the garage that did it (local VAG independent).

All other parts were genuine VAG from www.zakparts.co.uk (highly recommended).
