Vinyl Wrapping
hi All,
Do any of you have any experience with Vinyl Wrapping? i want to wrap my ali side panels but i have never done it before, i do have a spare panel i
can practice on. What's the best way to prevent air bubbles etc?
Any advice is greatly appreciated

Patience and talent required, I wrapped my scuttle n wind deflector.. would cringe at the thought of a whole side panel, although its flat so
maybe....

Side panels are a doddle. Its when you get to curvy bits it gets interesting!
Use a spray bottle with some warm water with a drop of fairy liquid in it and spray onto the panel. Start at one end and using an applicator push
along working all the bubbles and fluid out. Use a hairdryer to keep the vinyl pliable.
One thing i would say is, the better the vinyl the better/easier it will be. Some of the cheap ebay stuff is a pig to use and looks poo.

Watch a couple of videos on youtube before you start, but side panels will be easy as long as you bye the 3m stuff. Good luck.

I did my whole car bar nosecone. It's not easy but nor is it particularly difficult once you get used to the material. Get the professional
stuff from Hexis or 3M.
Cost me the sum total of £68

Do you have rivers on your side panels?
I made up a super sharp punch to cut holes around the rice heads once the vynal was applied. It finished off my side panels a treat.
I have some pics in my folder.
All above advice is sound. Strip the car sides down to aid access, get a friend or two as well. The vynal is a pig to handle in large sheets to be
applied vertically.
Track days ARE the best thing since sliced bread, until I get a supercharger that is!

Side panels don't need good stuff. The curvy bits do. Extremely rewarding work.

It'll be a piece of wee-wee matey.
If you are at all phased by it, then I'd be more than happy to travel down to you and put it on for/with you...
Obviously, I'll be doing this for free, and I'll pay for the fuel to get to you, and if it's the 3M CF you fancy doin it in, then
I'll buy it for you too.
It's the least I can (should) do really...
