My perfect plate will be on sale soon but I have no car to put it on!!!

Being as my full name is Wayne Brown and my nick name has been, for a very long time, bizzle (rugby related, dont ask!) I found out that my perfect plate is going to be released this december.

WB12Zle

Pretty good in my eyes. Except I wont have a new car to put it on and £80 annual retention untill I do have a car that I can stick it on seems unjustifiable.

I only own one private car anyway (Striker on a J) as my tin top is a 59 plate company car that gets changed every 3 years. My wife has a car that she is running into the ground. The earth will freeze before she gets rid of it. Maybe Ill ask the company if I can stick it on my company car when I get a new one next year!?!

Any other ways of getting the plate retained cheap. I dont know of any freinds expecting to buy new either. IT IS SUCH A GOOD PLATE!!!

My mate had to pay extra tax for putting his private number on his works car!!

Why not stick it on the Striker?

Why not just get a vinyl sticker made up? You can have it say what you like then

It's a '12' plate but the sentiment is the same.

MY plate was released this year - TU11OCH. My name is TULLOCH hence the TUL214 user name. I bought TUL214 many years ago and because it is 'ageless' it can go on any car.

FYI, I rang and rang and rang on the day of release for the '11' plate but could not get through. When I did the next day it had gone. My advice is if you really want it is to use a broker/dealer. I bet they have preferencial access to DVLA

Its a 12 plate.

my perfect plate would be something like b122leb or b122led or b122lew. Can go on the striker then

Either way it seems B122 plates were never registered and issued or have all been scrapped!!

My plate came out in 98 (iirc) S1MON, but I think it went for just over a hundred grand, so I didn't bother with it.

The DVLA fee includes the transfer fee, and its only £25 a year to retain it.

I have a plate ready for the kitcar thats not built yet, as mentioned above, its 25 quid a year to retain it if its not put on a vehicle.

I've been paying the 25 quid for 3 years now but its the perfect plate & i got it for a real cheap price so i figured i would grab it whilst i could.
