The Acewell 1600 for £124.99 will give you a 50 lap manual lap timer on board, just operated by a remote switch, doesn't have any other data
logging facilities, but obviously gives you full digital dash info. So far as I'm aware i don't think the data is downloadable, you can
simply look at it on the display. They don't usually like you recording lap times at trackdays, so this does allow you to do it "on the
fly". I can offer my usual discounts on these should it be of interest.
I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator
headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names
furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours.

Racechorno is good GPS phone based logger (Does speed, route etc) not sure about video overlay but its a freebee and is often being updated.
ETB do a good value logger/dash combo, but is not 'cheap', but not expensive!

or the Lite version has less gadgets, but is cheaper. http://www.etbinstruments.com/DD2_lite.htm

Do a search for.a previous post by me as i have already covered.this area i think. also my YouTube link below has info on it for a cheap set up.
Basically its trackmaster app, Bluetooth gps, race chrono and a video camera.
total cost without video camera is 50quid. if you have two video sources you can have a review.
again, my below line gives an example of above without the Bluetooth gps which you need for max accuracy.
HTH
Track days ARE the best thing since sliced bread, until I get a supercharger that is!

Sorry to resurrect the thread, what do people want from a data logger?
I've been looking at putting something together which would do 3 axis direction and force logging (ie left / right, up / down and twist) along
with GPS information (location and speed). The aim is to try and log to an SD card in CSV format unless someone suggests something different. I have
looked at outputting ontop of a video feed but it adds so much complexity its a bit too much at the moment. I have also had a look at grabbing data
from OBD but its also possibly too much for release 1.
thoughts?
