Followed a Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gull Wing through Taunton this lunchtime.

Nice aren't they?

I think there's a few styling cues taken from it in the new SLS.

I think on the new one it is a shame they didn't design the doors with out the handles

The white retro one is a beaut! Thoguh I think its almost TOO smooth without some minimal bumpers?
The new one nice, but as said someone forgot the door handles and glued them on later!

I like them both alot but i also prefer the second one. Has an almost 'hotrod' look to it

The white one has an almost Volvo fastback (can't remember the name) look to it as well as some Swedish design points as well! (anyone getting a bit of Saab)

Saw about 20 old gullwings go round brroklands at a "Powered by Mercedes" day at the end of last year.
