PPC mag Old Skool Ford which.....
...was the company that cut and shut the Volvo back axle to go into their Escort?
Mate of mine has a Jowett Jupiter and has now had the existing rear axle rebuilt three times to no avail.
IIRC that Volvo axle was used in place of the original Salisbury one but I'm darned if I can find it in my back copies.
Can any-one help please?
Thanks, Pewe
Matt/Mike VV the wonders of LCB - 8 mins is that a record?
Thanks for that - sent it off to my mate.
Rgds, P.

It says in the article: Dave Colledge of RetroFord 01536 747978
However, note that they only narrowed the axle tubes by a small amount so they could keep the existing halfshafts. If you need narrower halfshafts you
will probably have to get them custom made.

As I said, the person that did it is clearly mentioned in the article that mat_gsxr linked to:
quote: PPC said
...taking out a 15mm band out of each axle tube and rewelding the axle tubes straight and strong was a step too far for us, so we left it to Dave
Colledge of Retro Ford (01536 747978) who made his usual excellent job of things.
