Historic Formula 1

We are seriously considering a week away at the end of October.

Probably Portugal and around the Prai de Rocha/ Alvor area.
The weekend of 22nd/23 Portimao autodroma host a round of the historic F1. Has anyone ever been before ? or been to the aurodroma and can recomend hotels that run courtesy buses ??

We could hire a car I suppose but that'd mean no beer for me LOL
